Lean Manufacturing Simulation

Take a role on a bicycle assembly line, feel the waste in a badly designed process, then remove it shift by shift. Evan, the facilitator built into the simulation, guides every learner from the first screen to the final debrief.

About

A complete Lean course your team plays, with the facilitation built in

  • People Feel the Waste, Then Remove It

Shift 1 runs the factory exactly as it is today: stations scattered, stores across the floor, batches of six, and nobody allowed to fix anything. Participants feel the waiting, the walking and the work piling up for themselves, then spend the next five shifts taking it out.

  • A Facilitator in Every Session

Evan is an experienced Lean consultant built into the simulation. He briefs each shift, coaches each role privately while the line is running, and leads the debrief. Your own trainer can take over at any moment, or let Evan carry the mechanics and add their own client stories.

  • Runs Anywhere, on Any Screen

Nothing to install and no projector needed. Everyone joins from their own device, together in a room or fully remote, and every screen carries the whole factory floor.

Learn Through Simulation

Six Shifts, Six Lean Levers

Pick a Plan

Batch vs One-Piece Flow

Run the same line at batches of six, then three, then one. Lead time, work in progress and the time to the first finished bike all change, with nothing else altered.

Push vs. Pull

Kanban squares cap what each station may hold. Build only when your customer needs something, even with parts sitting in front of you, and watch work in progress fall.

Quality at Source

Move inspection from a separate role at the end of the line to the person doing the work. The Inspector disappears, rework falls and defects stop travelling down the line.

Line Balance to Takt

Share the bottleneck station’s work across the line, then drop customer demand by 40 per cent and rebalance to three operators. Productivity holds and the team sees why.

Layout

Spread stations with remote stores, against a tight cell with stores at the entrance. The floor space each layout needs is measured in square metres and charged to the shift.
